What's New In Vuforia Expert Capture?

Here's a spotlight on what's new in the Vuforia Expert Capture 3.17.0 release:

New Feature: Step Check™ for Part Markers
Faster step creation with improved accuracy & robustness

If you love using Part Markers to identify critical components in your procedures, get ready to be excited by utilizing Step Check to perform AI-enhanced quality inspections directly on your Part Markers. This makes it quicker and easier to create your Step Check procedures - simply click the part you want to enable for Step Check, and you are done! Enabling Part Markers for your end users also allows them to perform checks quicker and easier - since the part itself is enabled for Step Check, they now have a full 360° range of view around the entire part and our AI will guide them to the most optimal viewpoint.

But that's not all! To make Step Check for Part Markers possible, we have done some serious work under the hood to improve our in-house AI. The result is improved accuracy and robustness for you and your users, especially when dealing with cases where the viewing direction is essential.

But that's not all!

With each release, we have a ton of new improvements. Here are just a few other highlights from the last releases:

  • Automatic Image Feedback - is now enabled by default when a step is set to Pass/Fail with Step Check.
  • iOS/Android  - When using multiple part markers, the wayfinder is now only shown if all markers are occluded.
  • iOS/Android - When a Step Check step has both Auto Proceed and Require Image Feedback enabled, the step will proceed automatically after a pass result is given and the required feedback image has been taken by the user.
