What's New in Vuforia Expert Capture (3.26)?

Our VEC 3.26 release is now live!Ā 

šŸ”§ Key Improvement & Fixes

  • E-Signatures on review & approval improvementĀ -- any federated user can now e-sign if entitled and functionally consistent with E-Signatures for playback. Previously, customers needed to request their domain to be added to an allowed list.
  • Improved E-Signature details in Vuforia InsightsĀ -- .csv exports now include E-Signature metadata; and users can now filter their Insights view based on E-Signature status.

šŸ“£ Update your Mobile & Eyewear apps!

We are requiring customers to update their Vantage mobile and eyewear apps to be ready for our upcoming server release (3.27). Using the latest available version ensures full compatibility, security, and support. Official support is limited to the current version and the one directly preceding it, and earlier versions may experience intermittent issues or fail to operate reliably.

NOTE: The release of Vantage iOS through the Apple App Store is currently pending. We will issue a subsequent announcement as soon as Vantage iOS becomes available.

āš  Important Upcoming Changes

Please be aware of the upcoming changes:

  1. Scheduled downtime with our 3.27 (July) releaseĀ -- reminder of our scheduled downtime announcement (here) where Vuforia Expert Capture will be temporarily unavailable onĀ Tuesday, July 14 from 12:30 AM - 1:30 AM ET (4:30 AM - 5:30 AM GMT).
  2. End of support for x-api-key with our 3.27 (July) release -- with our 3.27 release will end support for x-api-key and API customers will be required to use Service Principals to access our APIs. Go here to learn how to setup Service Principals for your Org. The x-api-key was enabled initially as a temporary solution for early API customers.
  3. End of support for Vuforia Vantage on RealWear on December 1, 2026Ā -- reminder for those who missed our announcement. Go here to read the full announcement.
