What's New In Vuforia Expert Capture?
Here's a spotlight on what's new in the Vuforia Expert Capture 3.13.0 release:
New APIs and Integrations:
Get connected to your procedure data
We love APIs and integrations just as much as anyone. Connecting data has enormous potential to open the floodgates to even greater efficiency by leveraging procedure insights in other systems. We have been busy working under the hood to expand APIs to our users, and in this release, we are happy to introduce our APIs. This is just the first of many API updates, so watch this space!
Where can I use procedure data?
Connect your procedure data to other systems to immediately expand your understanding beyond simple usage. Our APIs now offer access to a list of published procedures, and based on a procedure ID or serial number, can retrieve run data, and image feedback. Get started with our new APIs today to make AR an essential part of your product lifecycle by connecting to other business systems, for example:
- Connect to your Learning Management System to ensure your employees are ready for their next task by retrieving the completion status of procedures.
- Connect to your Field Service Management System to record the completion of procedures executed as part of service and maintenance tickets.
- Connect to your servers to store an audit history of the procedure and step completion status (pass/fail), including images captured during execution, for proof that work was completed as expected.
- Connect to other work systems to enable frontline workers to directly access the Vuforia Expert capture catalog in their daily task management tool.
Step Check:
Plenty of enhancements for more efficient work
For this release, we have launched enhancements to help users get more out of Step Check while spending less time in setup and review:
- New Filter option - Find it in the Step Check Dashboard, allowing users to filter sessions and images by Pass, Fail, Review needed, and Contradictions.
- Unresolved Step Check image notification - If unresolved Step Check images need review, a message now guides users to complete them before publishing.
- Step Check guided training on iOS/Android - You can now start Step Check training from the procedure start screen menu. This speeds you through the procedure, going directly to steps needing Setup or Continued Training.
This release is packed with a bunch of these little gems to help you work more efficiently. To view the full list of Step Check enhancements, click below to view our complete release notes.
But that's not all!
With each release, we have a ton of new improvements. Here are just a few other highlights from the last releases:
- Word Document Export - The exported Word document of a procedure has been updated to improve the visual representation (coloring/styling) of POI and part marker images.
- Step Check - Procedure authors can now rename a Step Check from a step card.
- Vuforia Settings - A new Disable/Enable Procedure and User Information in the External API setting is now available.
