What's New in Vuforia Expert Capture?

Here's a spotlight on what's new in the Vuforia Expert Capture 3.7.0 release:

Clickable Links:
Focus on the job, not finding the information to do it

This release we are super excited to announce clickable links within procedure steps! You can now add links that will direct frontline workers directly to content outside the procedure. This is big news, as there are huge possibilities outside linking to additional documentation materials... For example, if your Step Check inspection identifies an item that needs to be maintained or repaired, you can now link that failed step directly to a Vuforia Studio or Vuforia Expert Capture maintenance procedure for that case!

Library View in Vantage Web:
Give Frontline Workers instant access to all their procedures

Library View is a cool new feature that allows frontline workers to easily access all relevant procedures directly on the web platform - without needing to be provided a specific URL from someone else. While, it is still possible to send frontline workers direct links to single procedures, frontline workers can now access all their procedures from a single library link - allowing the worker to simply open the procedures they need on the fly. No more waiting - just easy access to the needed procedure, when needed!

Introducing the new Portal & Admin Center:
New look & features to manage and scale your users

For all the Vuforia Expert Capture admins and managers - we have made a pretty massive rehaul of the Admin Center to give it a fresh new look. The new design is not only easy on the eye, but we have tried to incorporate as much of your feedback to make it easier to manage and scale your users. 

For example, the new look also comes with some snazzy new features - including "invite expired" tags - which allow you to easily see who needs to be reinvited. This is the first of many new features you can expect in our new Admin Center - so keep your eyes open for more!

But that's not all!

With each release, we have a ton of new improvements. Here are just a few other highlights from the last releases:

  • Procedure Publishing Setting - A new Disable/Enable 3D Content and Authoring setting allows organization administrators to enable users to upload, author, and view 3D content in Vuforia Editor.
  • Allow-listed URLs - We made some changes to our Allow-listed URLs. You can find all information here about which URLs need to be allow-listed for Vuforia Expert Capture from today onwards.
  • Vuforia Instruct is now Vuforia Expert Capture - Just in case you missed it, all Vuforia Instruct features and capabilities are now available in the new Vuforia Expert Capture.  More info
